Registration
NIFT 2024 registration is expected to start in the first week of November 2023.
To register for NIFT 2024, you will need to create an account on the NIFT website and fill out the application form online.
You will need to upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph and signature for NIFT 2024 registration.
The application fee for NIFT 2024 is expected to be INR 2,000 for general candidates and INR 1,000 for SC/ST/PH candidates.
The last date to register for NIFT 2024 is expected to be in the last week of November 2023.

Syllabus
The NIFT 2024 entrance exam syllabus covers the following topics:
- General Ability Test (GAT)
- Communication Ability and English Comprehension

- Creative Ability Test (CAT)
- Drawing Fundamentals
- Visual Thinking & Creativity

The important topics in the GAT syllabus are:
- English grammar and vocabulary
- Basic mathematical concepts, such as arithmetic, algebra, and geometry
- Logical reasoning and problem-solving
- General knowledge about current events and current affairs
The important topics in the CAT syllabus are:
- Basic drawing skills, such as perspective, shading, and composition
- Ability to think creatively and visually
- Ability to observe and remember details
There are a few things you can do to prepare for the NIFT entrance exam:

Exam
The NIFT Exam is an entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fashion design, technology, and management.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board are eligible to take the NIFT Exam.
The NIFT Exam consists of two parts:
- General Ability Test (GAT): This test is objective-type and covers topics such as communication ability and English comprehension, quantitative ability, analytical and logical ability, and general knowledge and current affairs.
- Creative Ability Test (CAT): This test is subjective-type and covers topics such as drawing fundamentals, visual thinking and creativity, and observation and memory.
Admit card
The NIFT Result is usually declared in the month of April.
The NIFT Result can be checked online on the NIFT website.
To check the NIFT Result, you will need to enter your roll number and date of birth on the NIFT website.
The NIFT Merit List is a list of all the candidates who have qualified for admission to NIFT programs, ranked in order of merit.
The NIFT Merit List is prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the NIFT Exam.
